The OASES Technical/Scoring Manual contains all of the instructions and guidelines you need to accurately administer and score the Overall Assessment of the Speaker's Experience of Stuttering.
The technical manual also includes numerous interpretive summaries that help clinicians understand how the numerical results from the OASES may relate to their clients' experience of stuttering. The text from the interpretive paragraphs can be used directly in diagnostic evaluation summaries and progress reports to document the impact of stuttering.
The manual also describes the development and validation of the OASES and summarizes the key psychometric data that justify the use of the test in clinical and research settings.
All OASES users need a manual to support appropriate administration, scoring, and interpretation of the OASES. Instructions are included for all 3 versions of the OASES response forms:
- OASES-A (Adult) for individuals ages 18 and above
- OASES-T (Teenage) for teenagers ages 13-17
- OASES-S (School-Age) for children ages 7-12
